2026 New Safety Volunteer Application Form - Wicked Woods Music Festival 2026

Wicked Woods Public Safety Volunteer Application

Complete ALL THREE pages of this form to apply to volunteer at Wicked Woods Music Festival 2026!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Wicked Woods.

As a volunteer, you’re a key part of bringing our festival to life, and we’re so grateful for the time, energy, and skills you’re excited to bring. We’re committed to creating a safe, inclusive space where you can learn, develop new skills, have fun, and support our festival community. Our Public Safety Teams are the backbone of the festival, and your contributions truly make a difference.

Shift Requirements

Public Safety Volunteer shifts will run from Thursday, September 3rd through Wednesday, September 9th.

Volunteers are required to complete two 12-hour shifts (24 hours total) during this period.

For the Fire & Rescue Department ONLY, these two 12-hour shifts will be scheduled consecutively, forming one continuous 24-hour on-call shift.
For all other Public Safety departments, shifts cannot be scheduled consecutively, as these roles are not on-call and require a rest period between their two shifts.

    Volunteer Responsibilities (Summary)

Volunteers play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, well-run, and welcoming festival environment. If accepted, you are expected to:

    • Attend all scheduled shifts

    • Arrive on time, rested, and fully sober

    • Remain free of alcohol, illicit substances, and non-prescribed drugs while on shift

    • Follow guidance from Volunteer Coordinators, Department Leads, and Festival Management

    • Complete all assigned duties to a reasonable standard

    • Sign in/out for every shift and communicate promptly if issues arise

These responsibilities are essential for both your safety and the smooth operation of the event.

Important: This is only a summary. Volunteers must read and agree to the full Volunteer Agreement, Code of Conduct & Liability Waiver on Page 2 and 3 of this application form, to be considered as a volunteer, and to fully understand all requirements and expectations before applying for a volunteer position.

    Volunteer Deposit Policy

If you are accepted as a volunteer, a CAD $400 Volunteer Deposit is normally required to secure your position and complete onboarding. This deposit helps ensure reliability, accountability, and commitment to assigned shifts.

    Public Safety Volunteer Deposit
Because Public Safety Volunteers play a critical role in maintaining a safe festival environment, the required deposit is reduced to $250.

    The Public Safety deposit includes:

    • $40 non-refundable administration fee
This fee supports environmental impact mitigation, administrative processing, onboarding, and operational costs.

    • $210 refundable security deposit
This amount will be refunded to the original purchasing credit card after all scheduled shifts and volunteer duties have been successfully completed and verified.

Deposit Waivers for Public Safety Volunteers

Public Safety Volunteers experiencing financial hardship may apply to have their deposit waived. Please email volunteers@wickedwoods.ca with your request for consideration. Please note: Requesting a deposit waiver does not guarantee approval.

All Public Safety Volunteers are subject to credential review by our Safety Team. This additional step ensures we build the strongest and most qualified team possible. While this approval process may take slightly longer, maintaining optimal safety remains our top priority.

    Volunteer Benefits

As a volunteer in good standing, you will receive:

    • Early Entry to the event
    • A Regular Parking Pass (21' and under) for the designated Crew Camping area
    • Crew Shower Pass and Access Credentials
    • Crew meals during shift times
    • A Wicked Woods T-Shirt
    • One Guest Pass
    • The opportunity to be part of, connect & collaborate with an inspiring community
    • Early returner invite with the option to select preferred shifts the following year
    • Reduced deposit ($250 instead of $400)
    • Additional benefits for anyone committing to additional shifts
Volunteers wishing to camp outside Crew Camping must upgrade their vehicle pass at the regular rate via the website. These sell out fast so pre-purchasing is strong advised. Please note that Crew Camping is mandatory for all volunteers until Early Entry gates open, after which you may move to your purchased camping lot.

Volunteers who plan to bring a vehicle or RV >21' must reach out to our Site Ops team as soon as they have submitted their application. Oversized crew camping is extremely limited and will be awarded on a first request basis.

Applicants for public safety teams may be asked for a police information check and/or vulnerable sector check from the last 18 months, as per festival policy.
